The clients’ were in the process of building an energy neutral house when we were invited to have a look at the project. It was clear that the garden (or rather the building site, complete with portacabins and scaffolding!) would benefit from a professional design so Belinda was asked to provide her input at an early stage. Once the design had been completed, and the site was clear, we undertook the extensive landscaping work which included: gravel pathways, two lawns, a wild flower area, large ornamental planting areas, pond with water cascade, low walls at the front of the property, block paved driveway and a path to the front door. We then planted the garden, with Belinda’s guidance, and laid a thick mulch of fine composted bark over all the borders to help keep the weeds at bay.
This garden was designed and planted by Belinda Macdonald from Shades of Green Garden Design (now retired).
